Our Guide to Podcasting Equipment

Podcasts are blowing up now more than ever, if you are looking to start one we created this guide for you! Thankfully, there are only a few products you truly need to be able to start a podcast. Obviously, you'll need a microphone, a laptop, headphones, and if it's an audio/visual podcast, a podcast camera.
• For the Microphone, both condenser and dynamic microphones will do a great job of picking up your voice clearly and crisply. We recommend the Blue Microphones Yeti Microphone or the iRig Mic .
• Any Mac or PC laptop should work just fine for editing usage and storage of the recordings! The iRig Mic even plugs directly into your phone or laptop.
• Sound Isolation is key when looking for podcasting headphones. We recommend the 512 Audio Academy Studio Monitor Headphones their comfortable design is made for extended listening and they have superior sound isolation.
• The camera is always optional! Creating an audio/video podcast will require more time editing not only the audio but making the video match the edited audio. While starting out you can always use your phone camera and produce a quality video without dishing out major dollars on a high-quality camera.

Best of luck and we can't wait to hear your podcast!
