The Heil Sound HDK-8 8-Piece Dynamic Drum Microphone Kit is a dynamic microphone kit ideal for use with a drum set. The kit includes a single PR48 dynamic kick drum microphone, 3 PR28 tom mics, a pair of PR22 dynamic mics, a pair of PR30B dynamic mics, and 3 HH-1 tom drum mounts. A handy black carrying case is included for carrying all of the equipment.

Heil Sound PR48 Dynamic Cardioid Kick Drum Microphone

The PR 48 from Heil Sound is a professional-quality dynamic kick drum microphone that provides highly accurate sound reproduction. Designed for a life of professional use, the mic has a large 1.5" dynamic diaphragm sealed in a vulcanized shockmount to minimize handling noise. The capsule has a cardioid pickup pattern to reject off-axis noise. A specially designed low-pass filter provides a 10 dB boost in the 60 to 100 Hz range, which is where the kick drum has the most resonance. The mic has a metal housing with a slanted XLR entrance for easy cable connection.

Heil Sound PR28 Dynamic Drum Microphone

The PR28 from Heil Sound is a professional-quality dynamic microphone ideal for use with drums. The mic has a large dynamic element with a cardioid pickup pattern to reject off-axis noise. A shockmount inside the mic's die-cast alloy body provides excellent isolation for the mic element. The mic offers a wide frequency response, with a +4dB rise around 4kHz to improve the presence of tom drums without needing outboard EQ.

The PR28 is compatible with the patent-pending HH-1 tom drum mounting system (sold separately), which mounts right onto the rim of a tom or snare.
