Multipattern design lets you record in any kind of environment

Unlike many multipattern condenser mics, which feature three or maybe five polar patterns, the Blue Kiwi offers a whopping nine total pattern options, including several in-between settings. The immediate appeal of being able to tighten up your cardioid pattern enough to totally isolate a single instrument in a loud environment is an obvious enough way in which this particular feature can come in handy, but one trick we've found that you may not have considered is the ability to widen the cardioid shape to deliberately capture some, but not all, of the room ambience when you're tracking a single instrument.
