The Steinberg UR24C 2x4 USB-C Audio Interface is designed for two primary purposes: to give you impeccable sound recording on the go and to facilitate cue mixes during live sets. Make use of its 32-bit converters for a wide dynamic range, and record at sample rates of up to 192 kHz for capturing detailed sonic nuances. Whether you are recording yourself at the home studio or performing DJ sets at live shows, the UR24C will come in handy.
The interface offers two combo XLR-1/4" inputs, one of which can accept Hi-Z instruments, so you can record your basses and guitars direct, with fine degrees of resolution. Connect your monitors (available separately) via two 1/4" TRS jacks in the back of the unit, or make use of the 1/4" headphone output on the front panel to monitor privately. You'll also find four line outputs, which can come in handy for providing click tracks to band members on stage or backing tracks to the house.
While you're recording, make use of the Mix knob to ensure that you hear your sound free of latency. When you're DJing, put the Mix knob into DJ mode, and put your cue mix on the right side of the headphones, and your mono master on the left. Furthermore, connect your favorite MIDI devices over the 5-pin DIN MIDI I/O jacks.
The interface can communicate over a USB GEN 3.1 connection for seamless integration with Mac and Windows computers. The port is also backwards compatible for USB 2.0. Even iOS devices running iOS 10 or later are supported, so you can record straight to your iPad.
Multiple effects are included, such as REV-X reverb and guitar amplifier emulations. For home recording and production, Cubasis LE and Cubase AI are included, as is a software, zero-latency monitoring matrix called dspMixFx. The interface is powered over USB, though you can also use a separately available 5V DC adapter.
