u-he Repro is a pair of circuit-level emulations of two of the most revered monophonic and polyphonic analog synthesizers ever built, delivering the character of late-1970s American analog design with an accuracy that goes well beyond typical sample-based or component-modeled approaches. Repro-1 recreates a classic single-oscillator monosynth known for its aggressive bass, cutting leads, and remarkably flexible sequencer and arpeggiator, while Repro-5 models the five-voice polysynth that defined the sound of an era of pop, film, and electronic music. Both instruments were built by u-he using circuit simulation rather than approximation, which is why they behave, drift, and distort the way the originals do.

Repro goes past straight emulation by adding modern features the original hardware never had. A flexible modulation matrix opens up routings that were impossible on the panel-limited originals, and a built-in effects section provides delay, chorus, and other treatments without leaving the plugin.
