The speaker features a 1000W Class-D amplifier that delivers 800W to the 15" woofer and 200W to the 1.4" compression driver, which combine to offer a frequency range of 44 Hz to 20 kHz. With a maximum SPL output of 131 dB, a pair of DHR15s can provide plenty of volume to cover an audience of 350 patrons.
Two inputs are on the back. Inputs 1 and 2 feature combo XLR-1/4" connectors. Input 1 offers a Microphone/Line input switch, while input 2 provides a line-level input and includes a stereo RCA for unbalanced connections. Both inputs feature independent volume controls, allowing you to connect a microphone and line-level source or instrument DI for singer/song writer applications. An XLR output features a Thru/Mix switch that allows the signal from input 1 to pass through or combines the signals from input 1 and 2 together for greater flexibility in deployment.
Other notable features include a high-pass filter (120 or 100 Hz) for use with a subwoofer and a contour switch that utilizes FIR-X tuning technology for system tuning. The FOH/Main setting boosts the high and low frequencies suitable for a main speaker, while the Monitor setting reduces the low-frequency range for using the speaker as a floor monitor.
The plywood enclosure is finished with a durable Polyurea coating and includes a rugged metal grille. There are three M10 fly points; two on the top and a single pullback. Dual 1.4" pole sockets on the bottom allows the speaker to be mounted to a speaker pole at 0 or -7?ø, which provides a lot of flexibility in placement and can prevent the sound from bouncing off low ceilings.
